The
Faery Folk® Collectible Dolls win an iParenting Media
Award!
Award confirms children's
love of faeries & fairy lore |
Coming close on the heels of the Creative Child, Top
Toy of the Year Award, the Faery Folk collectible dolls
& booklets are now honored with an iParenting Media
Award for excellence
in the category of "toys & games."
Dervish Toys is pleased to find that the industry continues to honor
the Faery Folk. Being a celebrated winner of an iParenting Media
Award confirms our goal of creating
an educational product which stimulates a child's imagination and
interest in the outdoor world.
Winning a distinguished iParenting Media Award for 2007 acknowledges
our
beliefs and secures recognition from the larger world. iParenting
Media Award Program provides a credible and objective method of determining
the best products and recognizes those products with their iParenting
Media Award. They are the only consumer awards program that has achieved
an ISO 9001:2000 certification. Their reviewers are a diverse set
of parents, experts, licensed childcare centers and schools nationwide.
Our award status was determined by the results of surveys that were
answered by three independent, external evaluation sites. Many questions
were asked of reviewers including the following - "What are the
postive characteristics of this product?" Their responses included:
"My daughter loves this doll! She has slept with it
every night since we received it! It is well constructed and very
pretty. Real thought was given to how Blossom's character should be
developed- and it shows!"
"The recommended age for the product in our system is 7-10 years--
but I also let some 4, 5, and 6 year olds play with it and they
all really enjoyed these dolls. They played alone with it and
together and enjoyed being read to. The younger children (4-7) enjoyed
the craft project [included in each booklet] with some help."
Responding to the question- "Does your child want to read
further to learn more about the Royal Society?"
- reviewers stated:
"My daughter finds the Royal Society an interesting
club to join. She's fascinated by the history of the society and,
as she wants to be a vet when she grows up, she's in tune with how
to make a faery friend."
"This was an interesting collection-- it is targeted to 7-10
year olds. The older children in the range were not always interested
in reading further to learn more about the Royal Society. However,
the ones in the middle [8-9 years] hung onto every word.
The younger children just wanted to hear more about the characters."
